I tried out the AI that has everybody freaking out. I asked it to write a story about me. Its choice of the name "John" was its own...
Once upon a time, in a remote village nestled between mountains and lakes, there lived a witch named Wantdog. She was a solitary woman who preferred the company of her books and music to that of the townsfolk. Wantdog's cottage was hidden deep in the woods, and few dared to venture that far. However, there was one constant companion by her side, her beloved familiar, a dog named Disco.
Disco was no ordinary dog. He possessed a keen intellect and an unwavering loyalty to his mistress. Together, they spent their days exploring the forests and playing in the lakes. Disco had an insatiable appetite for adventure, and Wantdog was happy to indulge him. However, there was one activity that Wantdog loved more than anything else - reading.
Wantdog was an avid reader, and her cottage was lined with shelves upon shelves of books. She spent most of her days lost in the pages of her favorite novels and treatises. Disco would curl up beside her, content to listen to the rustling of the pages and the occasional murmur of delight.
Despite her love for solitude, Wantdog had not always been alone. There had been men in her life, men who had loved her and whom she had loved in return. However, those relationships had always been short-lived. Wantdog was fiercely independent, and few men could handle her sharp tongue and unyielding will.
One day, a young man stumbled upon Wantdog's cottage while exploring the woods. His name was John, and he was a bard who traveled the land, singing songs and telling tales. Wantdog was immediately taken with him, and they spent many days talking about books and music and their shared love of the mountains and lakes.
Disco, however, was suspicious of John. He sensed that the bard's intentions were not pure, that he sought to take Wantdog away from the peace and quiet of her cottage. Wantdog ignored Disco's warnings, and soon enough, John proposed to her. Wantdog accepted, and they planned to leave the village together.
However, on the day of their departure, Wantdog had a change of heart. She realized that she could not leave her beloved cottage and her faithful companion, Disco. She called off the wedding, and John left the village, heartbroken.
Wantdog returned to her quiet life, content in the knowledge that she had made the right decision. She continued to spend her days lost in books and music, with Disco by her side. And though she never found love again, she knew that she was happy with the life she had chosen.
From that day on, Wantdog and Disco lived happily ever after, wandering the woods and playing in the lakes, content in their solitude and their love for each other.
I don't have a songtrack for that horseshit

I don't fully understand anything. Least of all how I ended up here.
"Archaic Torso of Apollo"
We cannot know his legendary head
with eyes like ripening fruit. And yet his torso
is still suffused with brilliance from inside,
like a lamp, in which his gaze, now turned to low,
gleams in all its power. Otherwise
the curved breast could not dazzle you so, nor could
a smile run through the placid hips and thighs
to that dark center where procreation flared.
Otherwise this stone would seem defaced
beneath the translucent cascade of the shoulders
and would not glisten like a wild beast's fur:
would not, from all the borders of itself,
burst like a star: for here there is no place
that does not see you. You must change your life.
Rilke
"1=1"
When you want a happier childhood - more stable or more whimsy or less anger or less glib - you have a kid and you give them THAT childhood so that YOU can enjoy it.
They don't owe you shit. You did that all for yourself.
Every adult knows this already.
Here's my question: when you want to have had a different ADULTHOOD - more stable or more whimsy or less anger or less glib - what do you do (for whom) so you can have-enjoy that?
I'd ask my lover but he wouldn't let me even finish asking before he cut me off
With protestations of love
A cut off, same as any other kind of "shut up", in effect.

| new chapter ft. what do you see? I teetered just a very wee bit, entertaining in theory (while drunk) Nebraska's repeated stated intention of marrying me. I'm holding the line on a fat ring, essentially cockblocking him / tethering myself. It doesn't turn out well, usually. But. I'm beginning to wonder about the shape I'm taking now A lover has desires and that is what shape she takes, the shape of herself. |
