"I have to make things right. Not for those other people, but for me. I want to leave this world in a good way." ~The Reason You Walk.
He, Tobasokwut, says that 👆 in the great reconciling period of 2010-12. He reconciles with just about everyone, even the actual pope. The list goes on and on, including the other daughter outa wedlock. But not the "kid in America" and her mother is referred to only as the affair he needs forgiving for. Erdrich was one of his "personal flaws" according to his son's telling. He was married to the same longsuffering woman (his mousy mother) for 50 years.
By 2010, maybe Erdrich didn't give a shit. It's weird though, the son/writer obviously knew she existed, and had to know by 2003 who she is, she publishes a book with babydaddy named in it that year. And he was alllll about fascilitating reconciliation especially with kids failed or forgotten or estranged, but not that kid. So why put her in the book at all? It makes no sense.
They say mothers forget the pain of childbirth (nope), which explains how siblings happen (lol nope). And so it goes with many experiences: the sting fades while the pleasure keeps its color (really? seems more like everyone is licking their wounds like cats lick their butts) — but not today. A square of Venus and Mars. If you still want a fresh start while remembering exactly what happened last time, this new moon is for you.
