I am as tired as I look

Hotel beds feel like plywood wrapped in scratchy sheets. Between house(s) buying/selling/repairing and college traveling, I am so exhausted that I am not even sure for where/what/whom I feel homesick. All I want to is rest. A thought pops into my heart: I want to curl in the palm of King Kong and sleep cradled there. I can't remember why that seems familiar, like a I had wish in a dream before.

The 1975 - Somebody Else

My boss kicked it to downstate but I knew that was coming (unlike the rest of the crazy my job is atm). I told him I am spending my sabbatical on his couch, then I drank beer for hours with his wife plotting how to spend his big raise - not on fake tits, she says, cz she already got those last year (we all look down at this news at them then at our own 😕).  I really need just a toilet that flushes and isn't literally 90 years old and a kitchen light fixture. Basic basic shit. Like, can I get a few days of sanity and a handy man? How is that too much to ask of this world???

To sooth my troubled mind, I renovate plan. I would woodwork if I could. Since I can't, I call craigslist work ads looking for gems. That makes me a general contractor right? In a skirt with a smile(ish).
